NEW TEXTBOOK SERIES – BE MY DISCIPLES: This year we are using the newly published textbook series, Be My Disciples, for Grades 1-6. Through the summer months, CFF teachers and parents have been reviewing this series. They love it for many reasons. In many ways it is very similar in the overall format and design to the series we have been using and totally updated and revised. Parents and teachers think it is well illustrated and will renew the children’s interest, enthusiasm and participation in their classes. I especially like it because like our previous series from the same publisher, the teachers’ manual is a great help to the teachers. It is well designed, resourceful and easy to use. And the publisher has included resources encouraging teachers to continue to develop their skills, formation and knowledge both in the teacher manual and offering resources on their website.

On the Catechists/Teachers web page, click on the “Content Charts and Correlation” link and then the “Scope & Sequence” link. This will give you detailed information about every lesson from Grade 1 through Grade 6.
There are also webpages on the website with great resources for Children and Parents.
At the end of each lesson in the children’s workbook, there is a page WITH MY FAMILY, which includes a quick summary of what your child learned in the lesson; Sharing God’s Word; We Live as Disciples; and Our Spiritual Journey.
